Lose the Ugly! Find your Bliss.

Do you have some ugly pictures? You know, the type that should never be shown again to anyone? Or maybe a picture of an old cell phone, or you rocking an old fad? Well LG wants you clear your ugly pics to Find Your Bliss….LG Bliss phone that is. Facebook users (18 and older) can upload an image or video of anything they consider ugly and want to lose. With the entry, you will be entered to win a brand new LG Bliss phone. Only 1 entry is allowed per Facebook account. The grand prize is the new LG Bliss phone and the secondary prize is a $50 gift card so you can buy your own bliss. There will be five grand prize winners and fifty secondary winners. User must be 18 years of age or older to enter contest.

The Gallery of the Utterly Ugly (located at LG Bliss Facebook Fan Page) is where you can lose their ugly stuff to clear the way for more Bliss, as well as browse through other people’s ugly leave-behinds. Examples include:

-Trashy Trends (fabulously ugly fashion)
-Mutant machines (these mutant machines and outdated electronics belong in the junkyard)
-Ugly wonders of nature (naturally occurring wonders that make even the ugly tree look good)
-Ugly-mobiles (rides that are heading non-stop to Ugly Town)
*Ugly behavior such as violence, indecency, or illegal activities aren’t tolerated. Photos of people are not allowed.

Since I lost all my pics with my hard drive last month, I thought I could not participate in the contest. However, I found the pic I took of my toe after I ripped off half my toenail in NYC:

Partying at Rehab…Reality TV Just got Hotter!

Since I rarely travel (although perhaps I will be visiting my folks soon in California), I have to live vicariously through reality TV shows. One show that looks like it’s fun is REHAB. No, it’s not about a rehab facility, it’s about Rehab, the party spot at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. Rehab makes it’s television home on TruTV, the people the bring you those “can’t look, but you can’t not look” disaster shows. I love their tagline: “Not Reality. Actuality.” Keeping this in mind, I believe this makes Rehab one must watch show. You will get an inside on look on how security and staff must keep the chaos under control. So, based on the video above, this show has got a lot going for it: Las Vegas, alcohol, fights, drugs, hot guys, hot girls AND celebrity guests. What else could you want from reality TV?

Ever Heard of a QLOG? Me Either. Until Amy Africa Started One.

I found this new blog, no wait, QLOG (99% Queries and Quintessentials & 1% Quibblings) by Amy Africa at http://www.amyafrica.com. QLOG is pronounced CLOG, and besides my love of the shoe years ago (they were comfy!), I wish I had thought of this idea myself, but I’m not surprised that someone like Amy beat me to it. Her depth of knowledge, backed by intensive field testing and web user studies, has earned her the reputation of a voice to be heard on Internet topics ranging from site improvement, traffic building and SEO to analytics and email marketing for over 10 years.

Now, enough about Amy. Let’s talk QLOG. The site design is great! It’s fresh, catches your eye and never leaves you bored. I found so many interesting articles in just a few minutes on the site. Amy’s sense of humor makes you want to read more. You never know what she is going to say, a girl after my own heart. For example, check out her post Puttin’ Spanx on a Sidewinder! I love that she teaches you a lesson in online marketing while also keeping you entertained from beginning to end. I also love the question and answer posts like Carrie Stiller Says: “Are You Smoking Crack”. There is an “Ask Amy” tab so you can send her a quick question and she will answer it, with intelligence AND humor.

The QLOG is very new, so there aren’t a ton of posts yet. Amy says to stay tuned for posts about everything from analytics, conversion, creative, and email marketing,to navigation, SEO/SEM, shopping carts, and other topics of interest.
