I know. I haven’t been blogging. I haven’t been tweeting. But don’t worry….I’m still here! There are lots of things happening over at Basically Becky! I recently completed the Richard York Shoes website redesign, and some new twitter backgrounds, I am currently working on a new design for this site, as well as launching a new site, DMBStuff.com, dedicated strictly to Dave Matthews Band. That site is currently live with all of my DMB blog posts, but a new design will be coming soon. So now you know why I haven’t been blogging and tweeting. A girl does need sleep once in a while. I promise I will be back soon….and better than ever!
I have a severe case of blogger’s block. I’m sure if I sat here long enough, something would appear, but would it be of the quality that I would like? Probably not. I made a vow for August that I would write one blog per day, but then my computer crashed and I was set back. Then many new opportunities came my way and my blog has unfortunately been put aside again. Please bear with me as I get some other stuff done and hopefully overcome my block at the same time. I’ll be back. I promise:)
Staci at Just Bloggled gave me the J’Adore Tien Blog Award. According to Staci, this means “I Love Your Blog” in French. Just like Staci, I also took Spanish in High School and I’ll just take Kat’s word for it too. Thanks Staci for thinking of me for the award. This is my very first blog award, it really made my day. I write this blog not really thinking anyone reads it…so it’s nice to know that you do! And I love Just Bloggled! You should definitely check it out.

I read a lot of blogs. A lot. In the absence of Facebook games, I’ve needed something to occupy my time, and blog-surfing is it. As I could probably think of 100 blogs that I read on a regular basis, I think it’s best to limit my award-giving today to 4 entries. I did 4 and not 5 strictly because of space issues:

I uploaded a new signature, well, a signature on a Post-It note, to appear at the end of every post. I love Post-It’s. They just make the world a better place. Especially all the different colored ones. I used to buy them for myself at my last job, I didn’t like the color selection they had in the stock room. Seriously. Let me know if you like it!
I just checked my Google Analytics account and Basically Becky has had 1,142 hits since it’s inception on May 25, 2009! That is only 2 months. I can’t believe it! There have only been 816 unique visitors which means some of you came back. I’m honored:) The visitors are from 34 countries. THIRTY FOUR. That is insane. People in Finland, Morocco, even Lithuania are reading this blog. Please say hi and leave a comment! I’d love to hear from you all.
P.S. I’ve decided I need to blog more and I will make a point to write at least a few blog posts a week. Maybe even one a day. Don’t quote me on that.
