My Something Has Been Delivered!

I recently heard about this new site called  The Something Store.  Here is an excerpt from their site that explains exactly what it’s about:

SomethingStore is a fun website that operates simply: We will send you something, an item selected randomly among many things from our inventory, for $10 (free shipping in the US) and you will find out what your something is when you receive it. Your something may be anything.  It may be something you need, something you want or something you desire. Yours may be a cool gadget, rare book, table game, handmade necklace, reverse clock, box of gourmet chocolates, popular video game, big-box retailer gift card, the latest version of a software, a set of kitchen knives, a pair handmade earrings, garden tool, kitchen appliance, unique home decor item, electronic equipment, magazine subscription, office supply item…Your something will most likely be brand new, though it may also be refurbished.

So anyway, my friend Amanda told me about it, so I immediately checked it out and ordered my something.  ”$10?” I thought. “Sure! The surprise will be worth the cost alone.”  Well, wasn’t I surprised when it arrived, only a few short days after ordering it.  Here’s my something:

A Bellagio (that’s right, the hotel in Vegas) UOMO (which is MEN’S) gift set which includes: 20ml After Shave Balm, 6ml Eau De Toilette, 20ml Shower Gel and a small disc of soap.  If I were a man and needed after shave, perhaps I would enjoy this something a little better. It certainly is good for regifting, although I unwrapped the outside plastic to take the photo.  I’ll hang onto it…you never know when a man might come into my life who is in need of some cologne.  And not just ANY cologne…Bellagio Cologne.  As for the Something Store, I read that they are working on adding gender to the order form so that this wouldn’t happen again.  When this is an option, I will certainly be ordering more somethings.  There aren’t enough surprises in this world anymore…at least you can be guaranteed one when you buy a “Something!”
