Local Tweetup + Charity = LITweetup Helps!

I am honored to have been asked to be on the Organizing Committee for LITweetup Helps!, a 3-day food drive event for Island Harvest – Long Island’s leading hunger relief organization! I am all for tweetups.  And I am all for charity.  So why not put the two together? @theshoedawg came up with the idea and I paired him with @namnum, one of the founders of LITweetup.  Two weeks later, we, along with the help of @stevehaweeli and @jeanprytyskacz, were able to accomplish this:

If you aren’t busy that weekend and live in the Long Island area, I hope you stop down to one of the events with a donation.  It will be great company, great food (Panera…YUM) and for a great cause.
