This blog post has been long overdue. My apologies. A lot has happened since my last post. Well there were two major happenings. My parents’ new puppy, Cali and my new apartment! Now I hope you understand why I haven’t written. I’ve been very busy!
A new chapter for the folks : Cali
I came home one night after seeing Emily and there was Cali. The cutest little puppy I ever saw, well besides Casey of course. She remained un-named for some time. My parents decided to name her Cali, short for California. It’s nice to see my parents so happy after Casey passed away. Cali has a Dogster page already and has gotten lots of bones. If you would like, you can visit Cali at her Dogster page and say hi!!
A new chapter for me: My New Apartment
I decided to start looking for a place early since I didn’t want to settle on anything and wanted a nice place. Anyone from Long Island knows that affordable nice housing is a difficult find. I started to scour www.craigslist.org for cheap apartments near my job. There were plenty of listings but not many worth seeing. The first place I went to see was very nice, but it was a basement. I have lived in basements before and they aren’t what I wanted. This gave me the idea to post an ad on Craigslist with exactly what I WANTED in an apartment and maybe the apartments would come to me? The first apartment I saw wasn’t an apartment at all, it was 2 rooms in a house – not even with it’s own entrance. The man said he was still building it – where would I want the kitchen? Are you kidding? The next day, I received an e-mail with what seemed to be the PERFECT apartment. The landlords are an FDNY fireman and his wife, a nurse. They are expecting a baby this fall. The apartment is exactly what I wanted, in the perfect location, and the perfect price.
Besides playing with Cali and moving I’ve also been working and tweeting. If you haven’t joined Twitter yet, please do. It’s really fun. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. And my tweeps (people who follow me) have already known about the 2 events above for quite some time. I tweet about everything, I just can’t stop. Some even call me a “Twit-Celeb”, but I think that’s taking it a bit too far (although I love all the Twitter love I get).
So anyway, to your right is my Twitter feed. You can join through there or at www.twitter.com/missbeckala. If you would like more information on how I can help you use Twitter to make your business grow, contact me here.
