Between birthdays and holidays and falling in love with the most wonderful man, I haven’t been online much in a while. A lot of stuff has happened! Here’s the scoop: I joined a gym in the beginning of November. Then 3 days later, badly sprained my ankle while working out there. You can just call me gimpy or clutsy, or BOTH. I was on the mini trampoline and my shoelace got caught in one of the springs. Could that happen to anyone other than me? Probably not. After lots of doctors and x-rays and pain, I was told to just stay off it (DUH! How much do these people get paid?) and it would fully heal in about 2 months. Its feeling much better now….back to the gym next week!
Thanksgiving weekend, I met the most amazing man, Harry. He is the kindest, sweetest, funniest, most wonderful person I’ve ever met. Plus, he’s the most incredible Dad to my bestest friend Emily. I have never smiled so much before…my cheeks hurt real bad! I truly have never been this happy with anyone. They have both completely changed my life since I met them and I feel blessed that they came into my life when they did. I used to be really lonely and now I have TWO best friends to hang out with. Does it get any better than that?
I turned 27 on December 1st. Three more years to 30. UGH. That botox is looking better and better. For some reason, 27 really depressed me. I guess its just hitting me that I’m getting OLD! Time really flies once you pass 25. How depressing. There was no big hoopla this year for my birthday…just dinner with the folks…pretty low key. We’ll wait till I’m over the hill to really celebrate. I went to see the Dave Matthews Band both nights in the beginning of December. The first night I went by myself but met lots of cool people from California who follow the band around on tour. It’s always nice to be around people at concerts who love the band as much as me. I was 3 rows up behind the stage, which to me, is the best seat in the house. They play to the whole arena, so it was as if I was 3rd row on the floor! I was so close I could see the sweat dripping off Dave’s head. Ahhhh heaven. The second night, I went with my friends Carissa, Dan and Carissa’s fiancé, Dave. The seats weren’t nearly as good, but we were in the press box, so we had a pretty good view and our own little section. The second night’s performance blew away night one. They played almost ALL old songs on night two, including a few rare ones. But nothing will beat the experience of night one 3 rows up! The rest of December was pretty uneventful. Just lots of traffic and shopping and holiday time frustrations. I’m pretty glad that it is January and we are done with that. Santa was pretty good to me this year….got some new clothes and money, which is always welcome in my stocking! I am really looking forward to what 2006 brings. I wasn’t looking for love in 2005 and it found me…now I can’t wait to enjoy 2006 with the man I love and his daughter that I adore. It’ll be a great year!
